Coil Cut Optimizer software is live in Oscacer Porto (Portugal)

Oscacer César Rola, Lda, an important Steel Service Center in Portugal, has completed the implementation of Coil Cut Optimizer (CCO) in the plant near Porto. CCO is used to Optimize the cutting plans of 3 Slitters and 5 Cut-To-Lengths lines.

Oscacer is a Portuguese group dedicated to the processing and selling of steel products, working in the flat and long segments. The production includes steel plates of different measures and thickness obtained through a cutting and leveling process, which is certified with NP EN ISO 9001:2000 standard. The products and manufactured steels are mainly for the Iberian market, but also to the PALOP’s (African countries of Portuguese official language).

According to Mr João Rola’, COO - Chief Operating Officer at Oscacer, Fast-Square software has been chosen as best Optimization software for Steel service Centre:

“CCO has been the winning solution for our implementation, after spending years testing various software worldwide in the cutting optimization process field.”

The Optimization algorithm has been adapted to the specific requirements: “Oscacer would like to express its gratitude for the competence and availability of Fast-square consultants to make the adjustments required by the Portuguese specific market".

Fast-Square is an Italian based software company, with customers all over Europe. After the Oscacer implementation, Fast-Square is promoting the Portuguese version of Coil Cut Optimizer in all countries with Portuguese language.
